Anyone else for President? Please!

Our new motto in this nation with regards to elections should be this, 'We the listless, having to choose from those left over, pick the least dispicable, perhaps!"
Obama claims to be for change, McCain recently sent me an e-mail that stated no matter how the election turned out we would get change. Duh! George Bush is going home, we knew that!
Aside from that what will change?  Will ANYBODY left in Washington work to actully reduce the size of government? No. Will ANYBODY actually push to balance the budget? No. Will ANYBODY there believe that maybe people that run oil companies are better at it than the federal government? No. Will ANYBODY in DC think about giving states right back to them? No. Will ANYBODY in Congress honestly care about much of anything that does not lead to their own re-election? Maybe Ron Paul. Otherwise No!
Bottom line is as long as we have the same players , the game will not change and neither will the rules. And we "The People" keep supporting them in this lunacy.
So we get what we deserve as long as we are willing to accept the same ole , same ole.
Neither Republicans or Democrats REALLY truly care about the good of the country, they care about the good of themselves and promoting the party interest. What is good for the public is not neccessarily good for the political parties.
Going into a presidential election year with a good economy, bad for Democrats! Going into an election with a winning war strategy, bad for Democrats! Having a down turn in employment , bad for GOP! ( it is obviously Bush's fault). Oil companies showing record profits, bad for GOP! ( Bush/Cheney strikes again). And so it goes till we are so darned sick of it we believe that nothing we do will make any difference to congress.
Then on the horizon we see a third party candidate, and we think they are like anti -acid , and they are going to bring us relief from the in-fighting , gridlock , and side taking morons we so wisely elected before them! But they turn out to be Ross Perot, go figure.
So we are left with the choice of what ever is left on the table when the party are done with their picking through the best looking of the lot.
My question is simply this: Is there not somebody in this country would would rise up, work with in  the bounds of the Constitution, do what is best for the country, stand against the special interest and dogooders, balance the budget ,protect our borders , bring our troops home (after we kill Osama),promote business, get government out of our lives, and then go back to work in the country they helped to fix?
Where is that person? Please stand up!

Vote the bums out!

It has been said that "those that govern least, govern best". It has been far too long since we had a revolution in this country. We have the opportunity each election year and we unfailingly do not take advantage of it, because "it is not our representative that is causing the problem"! So we re-elect ours and you re-elect yours and nothing changes! We as a people are only looking for short term solutions and we are unwilling to look past the last sound bite on the nearest media source.

It is time for us to listen to and support 3rd party candidates that have some common sense solutions and not buy into the two party rhetoric that only keeps the idiots we have in Washington in place. I believe that nobody who is currently in office beyond their 1st term is capable of being part of the solution, because they are responsible for the problem. Congress has a poor record of self repair.

We as voters must not re-elect incumbents

I do not think that it should bother us to cross party line to accomplish that as, there is not a nickels worth of difference in either party. Who becomes president is of some consequence, but not much if congress does not work with them, little of their agenda will be accomplished. As much as I disliked Clinton, I must admit some of our best years (recently) economically and diplomatically were when he had to work with a republican controlled Congress.

If our representatives were truly held responsible for their actions, and voted out for their remarkable incompetence, they would have that deer in the headlights look in their eyes come election time, or preferably that Cincinnatus thought process that compels them to come back home and go to work again.

Term limits and abolition of a government retirement plan for congress would go along way to inducing proper behavior and positive results from our employees that we choose to represent us!

Last but not least an absolute no exception balanced budget amendment would finish most of them (sorry representatives) off and wean them and us from the evils of big government.

I say vote the bums out
